Cohen Shield Update!! Scouts Please Read!


OK here is the latest info for the upcoming camp.
It is an exciting camp, the activities look great!

There is a lot of information here, please read everything

Also please try and ensure everything is ready to roll Friday night as I will be the only Scouter with Alcheringa, there are no other helpers, yet.

We will be camping with the Delta Scouts, as Noel can't get there due to eye surgery.

Health Forms
Can everyone please ensure their Care Monkey info is up to date!

Cost – Reduced!
The cost has been reduced to $10 – Scouts will be self catering, menu to follow
Please bring the $10 cash on Friday

Menu – Self Cater
The troop will provide basics such as water, butter, cordial, toilet paper, esky & ice, dishwashing etc. Everything else is to be supplied by the Scout.

Here is a basic menu – feel free to change as you want, this is just a simple guide.

Friday Supper
- Cake or biscuits & Milo
Saturday Breakfast
- Cereal or Toast, Milo or OJ
Saturday Morning Tea
- Cake or biscuits 
Saturday Lunch
- Salad Rolls, or sandwiches, cordial or water
Saturday Afternoon Tea
- Fruit
Saturday Dinner
- Meat will be provided, please bring 1 x potato, 1 x carrot, 1 x onion & any other vegetables you would like
- Sweets will be supplied
Saturday Supper
Cake or biscuits & Milo (or make damper twists?)
Sunday Breakfast
- Troop will supply Bacon & Eggs (bring something else if you don't want bacon & eggs)
Sunday Morning Tea
- Cake or Biscuits
Sunday Lunch
- Sausage, bread & onion

Bring all you food in well labelled and sealed container to go in the Troop esky/cupboard.

Gear
Bring uniform & scarf, bedding & pillow, clothing including sleep wear, dilly bag (plates, bowls, cups, knives, forks, spoons), tea towels, toiletry bag (toothbrush, hair brush etc), more than 1 pair of shoes,  torch, sunscreen, insect repellent, wide brim hat, jacket.

Transport
We will be meeting at James King Park top car park at 6:30pm on Friday Night. Then head out as a Group. Parents are encouraged to come help setup.
Sunday will be pickup at about 2:30pm from camp

Location
We are camping at the Mertanelli Sandhills, part of Kelso station via Wentworth.
The basics are get to Wentworth (about 29km), cross Tuckers Creek bridge and head North towards Pooncarie for about 8km. Scouts sign will be on the Right Hand side. Follow signs into camp. Road is good and solid.
